Ami Ravat appointed as leader of opposition in Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan

Vadodara ward no.1 councillor Ami Ravat is appointed as Leader Congress Party (Opposition) in Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan. It is for the first time that a female has been appointed for post of leader of Congress Party (Opposition) in the Vadodara Municipal Corporation.

On her appointment she thanked party president Sonia Gandhi, Vice President AICC Rahul Gandhi , Amit Chavda, President GPCC, Paresh Dhanani Leader of Opposition in Vidhansabha, Biswaranjan Mohanty AICC Secretary, Jitendra Baghel AICC Secrtary and all other senior leaders of the party. She specially mentioned Late Ahmed Patel, Rajiv Satav and Gurudas kamat for their motivation.

It is for the first time that a female has been appointed for post of leader of Congress Party (Opposition) in the Vadodara Municipal Corporation. She said, being appointed on this post as a female for the first time her responsibility increases manifolds. She specifically assure all women be given priority in development planning and not have to face hardships due lack of infrastructure facilities of clean drinking water & Drainage which affects their life the most.

"Having worked as a Urban planner & Environmentalist in Vadodara in the Development sector for almost 25 years. I have worked in preparing plans for almost all services of Vadodara city during this tenure. I have always looked forward to a long term planning and vision in City Development . During past five years as a Municipal councillor I got an opportunity to raise several such issues and get them prioritized," added Ravat.

She said as we as party they will definitely work to bring to fore front issues of basic facilities like water, Drainage, Clean Environment, good roads, Health & education. As a party in Opposition they assure full support in all positive works of development but will be prompt to pinpoint where ever they see mistake or injustice. And through our Organization remain in constant touch with citizens of Vadodara.

As a party they will reach out to citizens in each ward, raise their issues if they are unattended and ensure that every citizens gets due facilities against taxes paid by them.

Vishvamaitri river rejuvenation, Flood Mitigation , Management of Liquid & Solid waste, and ensuring early housing to all those who have been rendered homeless due to unplanned demolition in name of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana , Implementation of street vendor Policy act, Parking Policy & Vaccination against Corona virus etc . will be our immediate priorities. Congress Parties Sanklan Samiti will ensure and strategize all such priority issues and raise them in General board meetings and other forums of Corporation.
