Ahmedabad's new Covid cases at 157-day high
The Covid death toll rose to 10,959, with one death each in Surat and Bhavnagar cities
With the death of one more Covid patient on Friday, Ahmedabad recorded three Covid deaths in two days, one of the highest figures in five months.
The number of new Covid cases, 324, was a 157-day high. The number of active cases in the city is 2,060.
In Gujarat, the tally of new cases was 884, a 156-day high. The number of active cases rose to 5,279, with nine patients on ventilators.

The last 11 Covid deaths have come in 11 days, while the preceding 11 deaths came over 126 days.
