Ahmedabad records no new Covid cases for first time in 171 days

The city on Saturday recorded no new Covid cases, an occurence that comes after 171 days. The city last recorded zero Covid cases on October 27. There had also been no cases on October 24 and 25.

Across Gujarat, four new cases were recorded, of which two were in Vadodara city, and one each in Vadodara and Sabarkantha districts. With the discharge of 32 patients, the number of active cases reduced by 28 to 126. With this update, 22 of the 33 districts in Gujarat have zero active cases.

Gujarat in the past 24 hours administered first doses of vaccines to 4,428 persons and second doses to 27,117. In all, 5.37 crore persons have received at least one dose.
