Ahmedabad: Mephedrone worth ₹19L seized, 2 held

The Special Operations Group (SOG) of city police on Wednesday night caught a man, 39, and a woman, 44, for allegedly possessing 194.16 grams of mephedrone worth Rs 19.40 lakh from Bapunagar.

According to the FIR filed with the Detection of Crime Branch (DCB), the SOG cops got a tip-off that Sadiq Ansari and Ruqsana Ansari were allegedly selling mephedrone from their house in Manusaheb chawl near Panna estate in Bapunagar.

Cops raided their house and caught Sadiq and Ruqsana with mephedrone, said sources. SOG booked the two under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and began an investigation.
