Several western city parts recorded light to moderate rainfall on Sunday, primarily in morning and early afternoon hours.

Till 4pm, the city had received 14mm of rainfall. The areas with major rainfall included Ranip (26.5mm), Bodakdev (23.5mm), Chandlodia (22.5mm), Science City (21.5mm), and Bopal (15.5mm) among others.

The city has so far received 48% of the seasonal rainfall.

With two gates of Vasna barrage opened, the water level was at 132 feet, said Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) officials.

Till 4pm, the control room had received 14 complaints for waterlogging, two for dangerous structure and one for road settlement.

With the drizzle on till evening hours, it gave a perfect monsoon day for Amdavadis as sky remained overcast.

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, Ahmedabad district may record isolated heavy rainfall on Monday.

The rain intensity is likely to get reduced from Tuesday onwards, mentioned IMD officials.
