Adani Airports CEO Arun Bansal told sources on Wednesday that while work is on to expand the existing T1 and T2, Ahmedabad's passenger growth is such that the airport needs a brand new terminal.

SVPIA has one runway. The Adani Group-run Mumbai Airport handles 4.5 crore passengers annually with one runway (it has cross runways so only one can be used at a time).

So Adani Group can easily handle the traffic of T1, T2 and proposed T3 with the single runway.
