MSU International Food Festival 2021 (MSUIFF2021) has been organized by The Office Of International Affairs (OIA), The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda on 20th November 2021. Prof Parimal Vyas, Vice Chancellor of the University had formally inaugurated the event in the presence of international students from 51 countries.
Students had showcased their traditional foods displayed meticulously on a series of food stalls. More than 80 different types of food delicacies were on display and for consumption of the esteemed guests present in the pandal. Githeri from Kenya, Oshi Burrida from Tajikistan, Aashak from Afghanistan, Okkonomi Yaki from Japan, Tajin and Harrira from Morocco, Matooke from Uganda, Moamba from Angola, Gorobe from Ghana and Panth from Bangladesh were the dishes to name a few.
The participants explained the recipes, content and the context for preparation for the same. This is a maiden effort of MSU to organize an International Food festival to propagate a healthy cultural exchange.
The program was conceptualized by Prof Parimal Vyas, and was implemented by Director OIA and co-organized under the guidance of Prof Vanisha Nambiar and Dr Mrudula Trivedi Deputy Directors of OIA. The program was graced by Dr Jigar Inamdar, Regional Director ICCR, Western Region along with Senate and Syndicate members, all Deans of Faculties, Principals of Colleges and Heads of the Departments of MSU.
