The Gujarat anti-terrorist squad (ATS) busted a gang allegedly involved in gunrunning.
The ATS on Saturday arrested four more people and seized 11 pistols and country-made firearms.
The agency had arrested two persons in this regard on Tuesday.
Six persons have been arrested and 15 pistols, country-made firearms and 16 live cartridges were recovered from them.
Acting on a tip-off about firearms being smuggled from Madhya Pradesh, an ATS team kept watch and arrested two persons from Rajkot, Anil Jambukiya and Anirudh Kachhhar, at Geeta Mandir bus station on April 4. They had four pistols and four cartridges with them.
The duo said they had given weapons to the other four accused Bhavesh Makwana (30), a resident of Chotila; Kaushal Dasadiya (33), a resident of Surendranagar; Bhavesh Dhodakiya (25), a resident of Rajkot; and Ghyanshyam Mer (33), a resident of Vinchiya in Rajkot district.
