14 teams of 06 Batallion NDRF deployed at various locations in Gujarat in view of heavy rains prediction by IMD

In view of heavy rains prediction by meteorological department in Gujarat, teams of 06 Battalion NDRF is deployed in various locations of the state and Rajasthan. Five teams from outside are also part of the deployment in the state.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in Gujarat during the next 5 days. Many cities and district are already receiving heavy showers for the past couple of days and low lying areas are waterlogged. 06 Battalion NDRF is also deployed their teams in important locations to fight any emergency situation.
"Total 14 teams are deployed in Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Gir Somnath, Amreli, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Porbandar, D. Dwarka, Junagadh, Patan and Kheda. Three teams are on standby at Unit Headquarter for contingency in Central Gujarat. All deployed teams are alert and stand by at their respective locations, " Said Anupam Deputy Commandant 06 BN NDRF.
Total five teams from 13 BN (Ludhiana) and 7 BN (Bhatinda) are also coming from outside to assist the teams. All the teams are equipped with all necessary rescue and relief equipments like boats, ropes, soner detection, underwater cameras, medical, oxygen cylinders and other necessary equipments to fight any calamity.
