GPCB closure notice to eight companies

Gujarat Pollution Control Board issues closure notice to eight companies in Nandesari GIDC for heavy pollution and not following the norms related to it. The notice alerts the other companies situated inside the industrial estate.

Nandesari GIDC near Vadodara is having more than 200 big and small companies operating inside. For quite some the GPCB received many complaints of air and water pollution against the companies and also violating the norms.

Acting on the complaints finally the GPCB issued closure notice to Link Pharma, Base Metal, Alindra Chemical, three units of Panoli Intermediate Company for negligence and violating the pollution related norms.

The action by the GPCB alerts the other companies to review their pollution related norms. However the nearby villages have a sigh of relief after the notice to the companies related to pollution.
