The central government working on a safety purpose at railway stations. Railway Ministry is also working on this purpose very speedily.

CCTV have been provided at 344 stations over Indian Railways. Railway have also planned to install Video Surveillance System (VVS) at 1000 stations under Nirbhaya fund.

The total estimated cost of VSS at 1000 stations is around Rs 500 crore. Government also proposed Rs 54.91 crore for the Integrated Security System with CCTV for the current year 2016-17.

The information given by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Communications and Minister of State for Railways in a Rajya Sabha on 22 July 2016.

The terrorists are targeting the area where people use to gathered more and more. The railway stations are the place where huge amount of crowd travels daily in the trains. So the security of the Railway Stations must be important in every way.
