The second round saw significant decrease in number of people with mild to moderate symptoms of covid 19

It’s a good sign for Vadodara city as the second round of health survey saw significant decrease in number of people with mild to moderate symptoms of Covid 19. The second round completed on 25th July involving 820 teams which also includes school teachers.

After the completion of second round on 25th July Saturday, Officer on Special Duty Dr. Vinod Rao informed, Today we completed the Second Round of Rapid Door to Door Surveillance across the City, with focus on vulnerable and high risk areas. About 820 teams comprising of 1700 persons including about 400 teachers completed this task in five days. The number of Mild and Moderate COVID Symptoms identified this time has reduced considerably from the First Round. This is a good sign for Vadodara. We are analysing the Surveillance data PHC wise and Sub-Centre/ANM wise and would share it later.

We are also seeing that the number of Symptomatic Patients detected per day per Dhanwantari Rath has come down in the last 10 days. From 15th July we doubled the number of Raths from 17 to 34 @ 1 per PHC. We also started Evening Raths in vulnerable areas. Despite all this, there is not much increase in absolute numbers of cases detected per day too. This is also a good sign for Vadodara, further added Dr. Rao.
