The central government has published the implementation notifications of the 7th Pay Commission on 25th July 2016.
The notification stated that the workers of central government will get the revised pay from August. Further arrears, which are still remain to paid from January 2016, will be credited to workers within current year 2016-17.
The Commission’s recommendations which including increasing the minimum pay scale from Rs 7,000 to Rs 18,000 per month were cleared in June. So the starting salary of new government employee will be a minimum Rs 18,000 at the lower levels and the starting salary for the Class-1 officers will be Rs 56,100.
This recommendations will give benefits to the around 1 crore central government employees which include 47 lakh current workers and 53 lakh pensioners.
