Golkeri which is gearing up for a release on the 28th of February, was shot in a span of 24 days. The team had a memorable time shooting the film. They all bonded over food! Manasi Parekh who is used to the fast-paced life in Mumbai city was amazed at the relaxed atmosphere in Ahmedabad, says, "One thing I love about Ahmedabad is the ease in people. The crew comes in there is chatter and exchange of information. There is no sense of urgency with anything and the workflow is not stressed. I even notice that friends come over in the sets at 2 - 3 am and get along food. I have seen that people share a genuine concern, are helpful and courteous. In Mumbai, everyone is so busy with their lives and want to keep moving along the pace, even though they might have the concern for something or someone it doesn't come across. When I used to get stressed if something was not done according to the time I thought it should have been done, the crew used to joke around with me … to not take the load and that everything will be done in time!"
"One thing I looked forward to every day was the tiffin from a lady who used to send homemade Gujarati food on the set.", adds Sachin Khedekar. "Food was a constant affair on the set, apart from the tiffin, there were snacks doing the rounds all the time and Malhar specializes with that." Vandana Pathak wholeheartedly agreed with Sachin Khedekar.
Malhar Thakkar adds, "I had friends who came over in the night, in between shots we would eat noodles and play cards. I like to enjoy my food and do not hurry up my meals."
Manasi shares another memory, " Malhar and I were shooting for an emotional scene, and we had a break because the lights were to be changed, Malhar suddenly had a craving for Khichdi. It was an odd hour, we were just waiting around and he just starts describing how the khichdi should be made to perfection! It was like he was making the khichdi in his head and he was passionately describing the fine taste! I definitely learned that this man knows how to cook food as much as he loves eating it!"
