Now all the four wheelers can pass from Golden Bridge at Bharuch due to the parallel construction of new Narmada Maiyya bridge near the historical structure. Collector issue a notification regarding the use of it and from Tuesdaythe bridge is opened for vehicular traffic.

The historical Golden bridge is about 125 years old and that also bring down the capacity of vehicular movement on it. As the traffic continuously increase between Ankleshwar and Bharuch the government is working on a new bridge parallel to the historical bridge. Work is also on full swing for the flyover with the new bridge.

The pillar work is going on in full swing at the new bridge and since evening the vehicular traffic is allowed from the Golden bridge which spread happiness among the riders.

In addition to curb the darkness problem on historical Bharuch Ankleshwar new LED and Flood lights are installed for smooth flow of vehicular traffic on it. About 90 and more such lights are installed on the bridge worth around 20 lakhs. The facility was inaugurated by Bharuch MLA Dushyant Patel, collector Ravi Kumar Arora, SP Rajendrasinh Chudasma, Municipality President Surbhi Tamakuwala and others.

The bridge was open for vehicular traffic from Tuesday after the three months ban
