Ganesha decoration on recent Vadodara floods

Appreciate the efforts of NDRF, police and fire brigade

Ganeshotsav in Vadodara is known for its splendor as well as the perfect platform to spread the social messages to the devotees. Every year the mandals decorate the pandals on various themes and reach the devotees more effectively with their messages. This year the city saw heavy rainfalls leads to flooding and loss of properties and lives. In such emergency situation the rescue efforts by NDRF, Fire Brigade and specially the police department was appreciated by everyone as they not only save precious lives but reach the affected people with food and water in the hour of need.

Taking the same theme Bright School (Ambalal Bhavan) and Stepping Stones Play School (Karelibaug) installed the Ganesha to appreciate the efforts of rescuers. Named as 'Sankatnashak Ganesh' the school celebrate the Ganeshotsav for the 5th year in trot. This time they decorate the pandal with the theme of heavy rains and floods. Lord Ganesha is sitting on the back of crocodile which shows the people struggle when they saw big crocodiles strayed inside their societies with the flood waters.
