GAIL will complete pipeline replacement project in Gujarat by the end of this financial year
Concentrating on green energy concept put rain water harvesting systems, solar panels at new terminals comes up across their pipelines.
Gail has its huge pipeline network presence in Gujarat and Vadodara office is the regional pipeline network headquarters. Vadodara region looks after operations and maintainance of 1440kms catering to more than 127 customers, 50 pipeline installations, 155 terminals, sources 45MMSCMD gas for 30 different sources. The company is currently working on its major project of pipeline replacement in the state and the same will be completed by the end of this financial year.
Speaking on the pipeline project Chief General Manager Mukesh Kumar Tiwari said the company is already competed the 84% of the work and by the end of this financial year they will be commissioned all the lines. He further said that Gail is working on renewable busineses and towards a green tommorow in which the terminals across the pipelines will be equipped with rain water harvesting systems and solar panels. Their LPG plant has 190 flow watt solar panel and close loop compressors are using at Waghodia plant for energy saving.
He said they have six maintainance bases at Dahej, Bharuch, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Mehsana, Kadi and all are connected with RGMC centre at Baroda for the information and the action thereafter by the teams. About the security of pipelines he says they have teams closely monitoring the situations and place in such a way that the response time will be fast.
