Four killed in GNFC Rahiyad plant after gas leak

Four persons were killed and several are reported badly affected in a major gas leak that took place in the TDI plant of the Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd (GNFC) here on Wednesday late night.

Some portions of the plant where closed down due to the impact of the gas leak. This is second major incident in same plant earlier also such incident was marked here.
Major panic spread in the area with people initially fearing.
The GNFC, is a joint sector company, promoted by the Government of Gujarat and Gujarat State Fertilizers Company Limited, GNFC has the world’s largest single stream ammoniaurea fertiliser complex too.
