Food Safety checking at spice shops and mango juice sellers in Vadodara

The Food Safety Department of the Health Department of Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan raided and checked pepper and spice shops as well as shops selling mango juice and mango milk shakes. The team collected samples of pepper spice as well as juice and milkshake and sent them for checking.

During the summer season, people buy spices and the Food Safety Department of the Health Department checked the units producing pepper spices as well as the shops to ensure the citizens get quality and pure items. The department conduct checking at Lion Masala Mill at Atladara Road, Shree Umiya Masala and Provision Store at Tandalja Maharaja Chowk, Dhaval Masala Gruh Udyog near Gotri Yash Complex, Srinath Masala Product on Dabhoi Road, Alvi Food Product near Sardar Estate, Prakash Masala, Shriram Masala near Chhani village, Brahmani Masala near Chhani Ramakaka Dairy and others. The teams collected samples including chilli, turmeric, coriander-cumin powder, asafoetida and others from the spice mills for testing.

Apart from this, the Food Safety Department checked the shops selling mango juice like Shri Jalaram Ras Bhandar, Uttam Food Products at Bahucharaji Road, Ganesh Milk at Chowkhandi, Krishnam Farsan at Waghodia Dabhoi Ring Road and Nandkishore Bakery and Farsan and others in different areas. They collected the samples and sent to the laboratory for testing of any adulteration
