First Day of 11SPORTS Corporate Table Tennis Championships in Vadodara

Heavy Water Plant (HWP) has shown wonderful play during the ongoing 11SPORTS Corporate table tennis championships. HWP was 0-2 down against the Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) and in the third game of doubles they came back by won 3-0 set score and then beat in the reverse singles games by 3-1 and 3-2.

All matches were played four games in the set a match of best of five games. Sunil Jain from HWP lost to Amit Shah from GACL-1-3 while Nilesh Parekh also from HWP lost to Ritesh Patel from GACL by 1-3.

In doubles Vikram Sisodia & Sunil Jain from HWP bounced back and beat Gaurang Bhatt & Swapnil Pandya from GACL 3-0 in sets. Later Sunil Jain from HWP beat Ritesh Patel (GACL)-3-1, Nilesh Parekh(HWP) beat Amit Shah (GACL)-3-2 in singles.

The excellent response was extended by the organizations and corporate offices for the first time organized 11SPORTS Corporate Table Tennis Championships-2017 for two days on 24th & 25th March 2018 here at TTAB-MSU Table Tennis Centre.

14 Men’s & 4 Women’s teams have registered their entries. All together 80 players have nominated their entries for Team Championships, Singles, Doubles for men & women and Mixed Doubles events.

Many games were played very close and corporate paddlers have performed extremely outstandingly.

The results after the First Stage was Vadodara Division Western Railway (VDWR) beat Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO) set score 3-0 while Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) beat The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda set score 3-1. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) beat Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) set score 3-0 while Central GST & Excise (CGST) beat Income Tax Deptt. (IT Deptt.) set score 3-1. Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) beat Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL) set score 3-0 while Heavy Water Plant beat Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) set score 3-2. Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) beat The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda set score 3-0 while Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) beat Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL) set score 3-0. State Bank of India (SBI) beat Income Tax Deptt. (IT Deptt.) set score 3-0 while Vadodara Division Western Railway (VDWR) beat Larsen & Toubro (L&T) set score 3-0. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) then beat Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO) in a match with set score 3-2.

In Women team event Central GST and Excise beat New India Insurance by

3-2 while IOCL beat MGVCL by 3-2. In another match IOCL beat Central GST and Excise by 3-1and MGVCL beat Central GST and Excise 3-1. In the final match of the first day MGVCL beat New India Assurance with set score of 3-0.
