A fire broke out at a hospital in Athwalines area in Gujarat's Surat city on Wednesday. Personnel from the local fire department arrived at the spot and launched an operation to douse the fire.
No loss of life has been reported as of yet. The cause of the fire is also yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, media reports suggest that patients were being shifted out from the Tristar hospital in Surat even as fire-fighters continued their efforts to extinguish the blaze.

All patients have been evacuated from the Tristar hospital and the fire has been brought under control, reported media. The report goes on to add that the intensity of the smoke coming out of the hospital building is causing panic and people on the spot are facing breathing difficulties.
