No casualties reported fire was put off investigation underway

A fire was noticed at stabled Memu train on 20.5.2021 at 05.45 at vadodara yard in line no. 6 & 7 reported by loco pilot of goods train. No casualties reported in the fire as the train was stranded. Fire was put off in around 1 and half hours operation by the railway staff.

As a precautionary measure immediately Vadodara Yard, memu shed, loco shed GDA up and dn main line OHE disconnected.

Line no. 4, 5, 6, 7 of BRCY isolate by OHE staff with open isolater at 06:34 and rest loco shed, memu shed and Godhra up and dn OHE reconnected at 06:35 hrs and ARME order at 06:25. The fire was put off at 07:05 am by the railway staff.

"The incident Occured at 5:45 hrs in the morning and all the officers and concerned departments were informed. The OHE was disconnected and fire brigade reached the place to control the fire at 7.05 in the morning. All officers including DRM, ADRM, SR.DSO, DEE (MEMU-SHED), SD/BRCP also reached the spot and review the situation. FSL team also collecting evidences to know the exact reason of fire. One train was affected due to the incident," said Khemraj Meena Public Relations Officer Vadodara.
