How to find medicines you buy are original or duplicate, read inside

Now while purchasing the medicines you can identify whether the medicines are original or duplicate. A Unique bar code will now be printed on the packing of medicines and that can be scanned by your web browser, you will get the full details of the manufacturing company.

Before exporting any medicines it is now mandatory to keep a bar code on it. One of the senior officer of Standard drugs standard control organization informed that,it is needed to develop a system between drugs manufacturing company to retail market and consumers in which patients can identify whether the medicine they are purchasing are original or duplicate. In this system of bar coding track and trace technologies will be used.

After finalizing the design of Bar code testing will be done first, after the testing the manufacturing companies of drugs will have to place Bar code on the packing of the medicines approved by the government for the domestic market. In which there will be complete information about the price and supply chain. Any customer can scan the bar code while purchasing the medicines from the web browser, for this Android, windows and IOS all phones can be used.

This proposal is already given the to health ministry and soon will be approved. As per the information by CDSCO the design of bar code is prepared by National Informatics Center. The Secondary level and tertiary level medicines manufacturing in India have already the compulsory Bar code technology system.

Last year this proposal for domestic market was given but many of the small manufacturing companies were not ready at that time. But now this proposal is made final and soon will be applicable in the domestic market.
