Mixed reactions after not getting expected special relief for them
Office bearers of Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI) termed the interim budget as election related but beneficial for the middle, lower class families and to uplift the rural economy. They said the budget is good for farmers, agriculture, small scale industries and focus on development of economy.
They consider the budget as beneficial for farmers and women and give a lease of life to the small industries. FGI VP Mohan Nair said the interim budget is good for the small scale industries without giving any special relief to the chemical industries. A demand was presented before the government to give insurance to the registered industrialists but it was not declared and the chemical industries will not happy with the decision. Big industries are hopeful but not getting any special benefits in the budget.
FGI secretary Minesh Patel said the budget is beneficial for the middle class and small scale industries. The government achieve the GST target and to return 14% to the government is acceptable.
Chartered accountant Sanjeev Choksi said the budget is good for the rural, middle and lower class people. The government turn attention to the rural growth in the budget and GDP will increase as the economy grow.
Congress president Prashant Patel said the budget in election oriented without giving any relief to the poor and common people. The whole budget was designed in view of the upcoming Loksabha elections.
Congress spokesperson Rutvij Joshi said the government remembers the farmers after a four years time and nothing about the GST related changes was declared in the budget.
