Villagers raised their protest in the second stockholder meeting by National High Speed Rail Corporation on Bullet train project. The villagers protest after the officials claimed to be organised Gramsabhas regarding the project which they denied.

On Wednesday NHSRC called the meeting at Sir Sayajinagar Gruh where the villagers from Vadodara, Padra and Karjan remain present. The company officials to be organise gramsabhas in time to time regarding the project which the villagers denied and aggressively raised their protest in middle of the meeting. At one time the meeting was stopped due to the aggressive protest but after sometime it starts again.

The villagers raise their various demands in front of the officials like jobs to the families of Gujarat and Maharashtra who lost their land in the project, use revise jantri in lad acquisition, transparency in the money pay to the villagers.

The meeting was attended by DDO, company officials and other officers along with the villagers who remain present in big numbers. Police was also deputed to maintain law and order in view of the aggressive protest by the farmers. The farmers allege that the police is there in order to threaten them to get their lands.

Leaders said that the Talati has to inform in prior about the meeting which he don’t and the company officials met with some selected ones which is not right.
