Families of Vadodara fire brigade jawans worried about their well being

Living in fear of getting any infection everytime they returned back from work

Vadodara fire brigade jawans are working round the clock to make the city infection free and sanitise the areas which includes the house and surroundings of Corona positive patients. However their families are living in fear of getting any infection everytime they returned back from work.

Vadodara city is observing total lockdown for 21 days in view of Coronavirus and the district administration is taking every possible step to simplify the life of people and also make the city clean and infection free. Fire brigade jawans are working day and night to sanitise the areas which includes the house and surrounding areas of Corona positive patients.

However they are taking every precautions during the work but it is their families who are worried about their well being.

Wife of fire brigade jawan Bipinchandra Baria said, her husband is working for last 28 years in Fire Brigade TP 13 and presently involved in the sanitisation work in the city. However she is now worried about the well being of her husband as he visited the house and societies of Corona positive patients.

She further added that till now she never worried about his work but this time the deadly Coronavirus scare her and the family which includes her son and two married daughters. The daughter called their father everyday to know about his well being and asked him to take care in this situation. Whenever people in our society talked about the Coronavirus it instantly remind me of my husband and I pray to God for keep him healthy and serve people.

She is worried more as her mother in law is 90 years old and they are more prone to Coronavirus. However she is away for any complications and her husband also took every care after returning home. The family is also taking precautions in this time of lockdown. Their son is working in pharmaceutical company and regularly goes for work.

Bipinchandra Baria said to serve people is his work and if he fear the virus then if will effect his responsibilities. Presently they are sanitise the houses and surroundings of Corona positive patients with full safety provided by the department. However he feared at first when he first went to the house at Nizampura whose five family members are tested Corona positive, but later gathered courage as it’s part of his duty to save the people from getting any infection. He saw such pandemic for the first time in his professional career and the deadly virus sometimes scared him from inside.

Om Jadeja Sub Fire officer of TP 13 Fire Brigade said, their teams are working continuously to sanitise the houses of Corina patients taking every precautions. The teams are working to make rhe city clean and virus free and also aware the people specially living in the area of Corona positive patients for not to panic and stay calm and safe.
