Complaint given to cyber crime department
Senior leader of Vadodara Congress Narendra Rawat has lodged a complaint with the cyber crime department regarding a fake facebook account started by someone and seeking money from his contacts. The accused seeking immediate help of Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 through payphone by messaging them.
While social media is being misused as much as it should be now, a fraudster downloaded photographs of Rahul Gandhi and other leaders from the Facebook account of former Vadodara Congress president Narendra Rawat and re-launched a bogus Facebook account in his name. He then chat with some friends from the friend group associated with Narendra Rawat tried to cheat them.
The fraudster had given a number on Narendra Rawat’s Facebook account and demanded immediate deposit of Rs 10,000 through P phone. The former president has lodged a complaint with the cyber crime department along with the mobile number and all the information written on Facebook.
