Faculty of Journalism and Communication’s very own ‘media caravan’ Kaafila 2020 begins on Thursday

The Faculty of Journalism and Communication, M.S.University
of Baroda is all set to inaugurate its annual media fest Kaafila 2020 on
Thursday. This is the third successive year of the event began in 2017.

Kaafila is conceptualized as a media youth festival where
students from across the city of Vadodara and Gujarat will participate in
different competitions like video making, ad-making, story writing, debate,
treasure hunt, RJ wars and many others that will provide them with a platform
to showcase their skills and talent. This year the event is scheduled from 13th
to 15th February at the Faculty of Journalism & Communication.

As many as 120 registrations have been received so far for
different competitions to be held under the aegis of Kaafila. Distinguished
experts from various professional spheres have been invited to encourage young
participants during the fest. The entire event is being managed by the
undergraduate and postgraduate students of the faculty, right from organization
to creative aspects to outreach and execution.

Through this event the faculty aims at providing holistic
training to budding media professionals and give them an opportunity to learn
from hands on experience.
