Encouraged students to choose defence as their career option in life
Directorate of Students Welfare has organised an Expert Talk on ‘Career counselling in Armed and Paramilitary Forces’ by Col. Falnikar Vinod Kumar a veteran army officer & career counsellor of forces. During the session he encouraged the students to choose defence as their career option in life.
The talk was organised at University Pavilion, under the guidance of Prof. Rameshwari Pandya. The audience was mostly NCC cadets of university where Col. Falnikar talked on the various courses and opportunities available in field of defence. He encouraged the students to select forces as one of the career options and put emphasis on power of expression, ability to influence and building the confidence within.
He guided and briefed the students about all the exams related to Military & Paramilitary forces conducted through UPSC, NDA, CDS & other bodies. He mentioned “Sports should be hobby and one has to be good in extra co-curricular activities, use the time constructively, aware about current affairs, and be attentive”.
During the talk Col. Falnikar shares all his stories and experience related to NCC, his MSU days, Army and motivate cadets to be a “Good Citizen of the Country” and mentioned several times “Desh ke acche Nagrik bano”.
It was a meaningful, worthwhile experience for both staff and students as they get the insight details about the defence forces and join to serve the country.
