Four special chariots will run from Monday for voter education and awareness

Voter education and awareness motivational activities have been organized under the guidance of District Election Officer and Collector in connection with the Assembly by-election of 147 Karjan seat.

Informing about this, the election officer of the seat and the provincial officer, Karjan, KR Patel said, this seat is made up of villages of Shinor and Vadodara village talukas besides Karjan. This seat belongs to Vadodara district but it has been included in the Bharuch seat of the Lok Sabha. Voter awareness and education activities have been organized covering the polling stations of the three talukas to provide detailed information about the date and method of polling to the voters.

A circle of EVM and VVPAT demonstrations covering all these 311 polling stations has recently been completed. Under it a team of 3 members led by the Assistant Zonal Officer and a Master Trainer of EVM met under the leadership of Zonal Officer and went to the polling booths, especially in rural and urban polling stations to conduct voting by machine, giving useful information about VVIPET and important information. Along with this, by giving information about the date and time of voting, people are being given the understanding to vote accurately. The operation was completed with the help of support staff led by a total of 31 zonal officers of the meeting during which 9430 people took advantage of it.

Now under the guidance of the District Election Officer, four special Voter Awareness Chariots equipped with audio-visual and printed material have been prepared which will start the Voter Awareness Yatra in the constituency from Monday.

Informing that one of the four chariots will travel to Shinor, one to Vadodara village and two to the villages of this constituency in Karjan taluka, Deputy Mamlatdar Bhabhor said, these chariots have been decorated with posters giving information about voting system and important information. In addition to informing the people through the transmission of video clips, the people will be given the understanding of voting by machine with the help of EVMs i.e. BU / CU and VVPAT kept in these chariots.
