Registration of 30,000 unorganized laborers in Vadodara in two months

The Central Government has decided to issue e-Shram Cards to the unorganized workers for the purpose of providing social security to them so that they can easily avail the benefits of the insurance scheme. Based on that Thirty thousand unorganized workers have been registered in the last two months by the labor department office in Vadodara.

Domestic workers, self-employed workers or salaried workers are included for the registration of unorganised workers as per Section 2 of the Unorganized Labor Social Security Act, 2008. The e-labor card is being registered at the Common Service Center. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has set a target of providing assistance to the beneficiaries within 100 days. District Collector R.B. Barad daily reviewed the working of E-labor cards.

Assistant Labor Commissioner Ashish Gandhi said, "In the last two months alone, 30,000 workers from various fields have been registered by conducting 190 camps. To avail this scheme, any working person will get the benefit of this card as a self-employed laborer.

Construction, Agriculture, MNREGA, Fishing, Asha Workers, Anganwadi, hawkers, Domestic workers, Rickshaw drivers, Milk Mandali members can also register. Apart from this registration can also be done on the web site www.eshram.gov.in. The easiest way is the Common Service Center or the e-Gram Center of the village Gram Panchayat.

Aadhaar number, mobile number linked to it and bank account number can be registered with IFSC number. Applicant should not be availing the benefit of Employee State Insurance Scheme or PF, Should not be paying income tax and age should be within 18 to 20 years.

In case of accidental or permanent disability, Rs. 2 lakh assistance and one lakh assistance for one year in case of partial disability is given to the beneficiary. It is quite easy to take advantage of this scheme of the government and based on this it is likely to be associated with another scheme in future.
