TV actress Vaishali Takkar was found dead on Sunday in her Indore home. The 29-year-old who rose to fame with her stints in TRP-garnering TV shows like 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' and 'Sasural Simar Ka' was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room.
The local residents of Saibag Colony where Takkar resided, alerted the police who broke open the door of her house to find her hanging from the ceiling fan with a piece of cloth in her room, police officer RD Kanwa informed.
"She was rushed to MY Hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival. The body has been sent for post-mortem. A suicide note was found in her room but its contents cannot be divulged now as it is a matter of probe," was quoted as saying.
Indore Police Commissioner Hari Narayan Mishra, reported that the suicide note mentioned a gentleman who could be connected to the circumstances leading to her death.
The sources reported that the gentleman is an acquaintance of Takkar's family and lives in the same locality, and was allegedly harassing Takkar.
The commissioner added that so far they do not have a suspect in the matter. However, the police have collected the personal belongings of the 29-year-old actress from her house to find clues or any link to her death.
The items collected by the police for investigation includes Takkar's personal diary which mentions several things.
The actress also wrote about going through depression in Indore in her personal diary.
The police are yet to record statements of the family members of the actress in the matter.
Meanwhile, actor Vikas Sethi and his wife Jhanvi Rana who were close to Takkar told sources that they had spoken to her on Saturday.
The actress, who was set to tie the knot with a software engineer based out of California in December, had planned to come to Mumbai for her wedding shopping.
Takkar was a native of Mahidpur town in the Ujjain district. Se had been living in Indore for the last three years, sources said.
