Tribal Farmer’s Success Story: Embracing natural farming in Wankla Village
New Update

Wankla village’s progressive tribal farmer, Mitulbhai Chaudhary, has achieved remarkable success through low-cost natural farming. A resident of Sarkaniya Phalia in Mandvi taluka, Mitulbhai transitioned from traditional chemical farming to cow-based natural farming, reaping impressive financial and ecological benefits.

Mitulbhai currently cultivates Tindora and Brinjal on 1.50 bighas of land, generating an annual income of ₹3.6 lakh, or ₹30,000 per month. His journey began with a deep interest in sustainable farming techniques, which led him to study and adopt natural farming practices. The method has not only resulted in high yields but also kept his crops disease-free.

Mitulbhai credits the Sadhan Sahay Yojana and support from the District Sponsored Project Administrator for his success. Under the scheme, he received assistance to construct pavilions for vine vegetables, which played a crucial role in his farming transformation.

Interestingly, Mitulbhai does not rely on markets to sell his produce. Local customers, including relatives and neighbors, prefer buying his naturally grown vegetables directly.

His success has inspired other farmers in the area to explore natural farming. “This farming method has made me financially independent while supporting a sustainable lifestyle for my family,” he said.

Mitulbhai’s story showcases the potential of natural farming in improving livelihoods and promoting eco-friendly practices among farmers, making him a beacon of hope for others in his community and across the state.
