The parents of the slain Punjabi rapper Siddhu Moosewala announced the birth of a baby boy on Sunday.
This comes a month after reports surfaced that Moosewala's mother Charan Kaur, 58, is expecting her second child through IVF.
Singh also shared the image of the infant in his lap.
The image of Sidhu Moosewala was in the background. A cake was also kept on a table near Balkaur, who was dressed in a blue shirt and denim.
Moosewala, a popular Punjabi rapper known for hip-hop, rap and folk music, was shot dead on 29 May 2022.
Six shooters waylaid the singer on a sharp bend about eight km from his aunt’s house in Jawahar Ke village before gunning him down.
Canada-based gangster Glodie Brar's gang claimed responsibility for the murder, which police said was the culmination of an inter-gang rivalry. Brar claimed Moosewala was killed to avenge the killing of Akali leader Vicky Middukhera.
Interestingly, the murder came immediately after the Punjab government had pulled security cover for over 400 individuals, including Moose Wala, in a bid to clamp down on VIP culture.
Balkaur Singh had later told the police that he went after his son after learning that he didn’t take the gunmen along.
