Period dacoit drama starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt to release on July 22

Fans of Ranbir Kapoor have been waiting for him to return to action since the release of his 2018 picture 'Sanju,' and it appears that the wait is now over, as one of his most awaited films, 'Shamshera,' is slated to hit theatres shortly.

Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, and Sanjay Dutt feature in the next historical action film, which is set to hit theatres on July 22, 2022. On Friday, a trailer for the Yash Raj Films movie was unveiled, revealing the release date of the historical drama.

"The adventure is about to begin," Vaani, who was recently featured in the popular film 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui,' wrote on her Instagram account. I'm thrilled to be a part of this adventure! On the 22nd of July, celebrate #Shamshera with #YRF50 on a large screen near you.

The film's production was completed in January 2020. However, as the country was hit by the COVID outbreak, post-production work was halted. Filming was concluded in August 2020, when the production resumed. The film will be released in three languages: Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
