On Sunday, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaz Merchant were released after being granted bail in a Mumbai narcotics raid case. Arbaz was released from Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail while Dhamecha was released from the Byculla women's jail.

Three days after being granted bail in the cruise drugs case in which the two were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3, the two were released from jail. On Thursday, the Bombay High Court granted them and co-accused Aryan Khan, the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, bail. After the bond process for Dhamecha's release was completed late Saturday evening, her release order was placed in the bail box outside Byculla jail.

The HC released its operational order on Friday afternoon, imposing 14 bail conditions on Aryan Khan, Merchant, and Dhamecha, including a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh each with one or two sureties of the same amount.

"She has been released from jail after completion of all legal formalities," Dhamecha's lawyer Ali Kaashif Khan said on Sunday. We're now going to file an application with the NCB to allow her to travel to Madhya Pradesh, where she was born." Arbaaz Merchant, a co-accused who is being held at the Arthur Road jail, has yet to be freed. On Saturday, Aryan Khan, who had been held at the Arthur Road jail following his arrest in the case, was released.

Khan claimed that the judicial procedure was completed at 7.30 p.m., two hours after the jail's limit. He went on to say that at 8.30 p.m., they were able to get the release order into the box.

In its detailed order, the HC requested that Aryan Khan, Merchant, and Dhamecha attend every Friday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the NCB's Mumbai headquarters to mark their presence. The NCB intercepted a Goa-bound cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2 and claimed to have seized drugs.
