New Update

Jason Momoa, a Hollywood celebrity, has been welcomed into the 'Fast and Furious' family.

According to Variety, Momoa will star in the upcoming 10th movie of the high-octane blockbuster with Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto and the rest of the 'Fast and Furious' team.

Late Friday, the team announced Momoa's addition to the group on social media, with the comment "The Fast Fam keeps getting bigger."

The film is tentatively titled 'Fast and Furious 10,' and the whole cast is likely to return, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyres Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, and Charlize Theron, who has played the villainous Cipher since 2017's 'The Fate of the Furious.'

The film will be released in theatres on May 19, 2023.

Lin returned to the franchise to direct 'F9: The Fast Saga,' which was released in theatres last summer, after directing the third through sixth installments of the series.

Despite being delayed by the Covid epidemic, the film grossed $726 million worldwide. The upcoming film is believed to be Toretto and his crew's penultimate project, which will conclude with the tenth and eleventh films.

Momoa would be the next A-lister to join the 'Fast' franchise, which has been churning since 2001. Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Luke Evans, Kurt Russell, Helen Mirren, and John Cena, who played Mia and Dom's long-lost brother Jakob Toretto in 'F9,' have all lent their voices to the action films throughout the years.

Gal Gadot, Momoa's 'Justice League' co-star, starred in three 'Fast' flicks before becoming Wonder Woman, beginning with 2009's 'Fast & Furious.'

While Momoa is best known for his role as Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, in the Warner Bros. and DC superhero franchise, the actor has steadily built a massively successful resume, including standout performances as Duncan Idaho in 'Dune' and Khal Drogo on 'Game of Thrones,' as well as starring in the Apple TV Plus series 'See.'

The actor finished filming on James Wan's 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom' earlier this month.
