In the case of conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, Jacqueline Fernandez will appear before the ED today

On Wednesday, December 8, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez will testify before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering inquiry into multimillionaire suspected conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

As a witness in the case, she will be recording her statement. Fernandez had previously been questioned by the ED in this case.

The interrogation will take place at the MTNL building in Central Delhi, which also houses the ED's office. Her statement would be recorded by a woman official and five others.

On December 5, while on her way to Delhi, Fernandez was detained by immigration officials at Mumbai Airport. The authorities were acting on an ED Look Out Circular (LoC) issued against her because the ED suspected she might exit the country. She was interrogated for hours at the Mumbai airport before being released.

The ED summoned her again on Monday to participate in the ongoing investigation.

The Enforcement Directorate had filed a charge sheet under the PMLA Act on Saturday (December 4), identifying a few Bollywood actors as witnesses, including Fernandez. The charge sheet had been taken into consideration by the court, and the agency had been asked to provide copies of the charge sheet to all of the defendants.

The charge sheet case will be adjourned until December 13th. The ED authorities remained tight-lipped about the situation.

In addition to Jacqueline, another Bollywood actress, Nora Fatehi, has testified as a witness in the case.
