Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, walked out of Mumbai's Arthur jail on Saturday morning. The 23-year-old spent four weeks in jail after being arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case.
He was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Thursday. However, he spent another night in jail as his release papers did not reach the prison authorities within the stipulated time.
Since morning, fans gathered outside the jail and Shah Rukh's home Mannat, holding 'Welcome Home, Aryan' posters.
While granting him bail, the HC listed 14 conditions. In the five-page bail order, the high court said that Aryan and and his two co-accused Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, who were also granted bail, shall be released on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh each with one or two sureties of the same amount.
As per the conditions set by the high court, the trio will have to surrender their passports before the special NDPS court and shall not leave India without taking permission from the special court and that they will have to attend the NCB office each Friday to mark their presence.
Actress Juhi Chawla signed the Rs. 1 lakh bail bond for Aryan on Friday, securing his release papers.
