John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday and are now under house arrest. John announced the news on his Instagram account, saying that he had met a COVID positive person three days prior.  "I came in contact 3 days ago with someone who I later learned had COVID. Priya and I have tested positive for COVID. We have been quarantined at home so haven't been in contact with anyone else," wrote John Abraham. The actor stated in an interview with ANI that he is having mild symptoms. "We are both vaccinated and experienced mild symptoms. Please stay well and healthy. Masks up."

Director Rahul Rawail was also found to be positive for Covid-19 on Sunday. The filmmaker is currently quarantined and taking all precautions necessary. Last week, the 70-year-old director became infected with the virus. The director confirmed this as well. Arjun was directed by Rahul Rawail in 1983, while Betaab was directed by Rahul Rawail in 1985. Rahul Rawail was born in Mumbai, India, on April 7, 1951. In addition, he has directed and produced films such as Mast Kalandar (1991) and Dacait (1987). Rawail's new book Raj Kapoor: The Master At Work, a tribute to his master and late filmmaker Raj Kapoor, was launched in New Delhi by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu last month.

Several more Bollywood celebs, including Mrunal Thakur, Nora Fatehi, and Shilpa Shirodkar, recently announced on social media that they had tested positive for COVID-19. Rhea Kapoor and her husband Karan Boolani tested positive for COVID-19 last month.
