Vadodara Parents Association request city schools for not to hide details of cases from government as it might lead to chaos and difficult for the administration to control the situation. They also demand that government shall take action against such schools in future.
This came after a student of 8th standard of Navrachana school and a teacher of Sant Kabir school tested positive of Corona virus. VPA said, its wrong on the part of schools as they failed to inform the health department, District Education Office and government.
"We are slowly moving towards offline education after the SOP by government and in this case the responsibility of school is important for the safety of everyone including students. However in the last one week Vadodara witness two such cases in schools and they failed to inform the authorities. We request the school not to fear and informed the concerned authorities immideately. We also request government to take action against such schools for not informing," said Vinod Khuman member of VPA.
VPA also request schools to continue both online and offline modes of education for the benefit of students. They also demand a permanent District Education Officer in Vadodara.
