Tourism Minister and Cabinet spokesperson Sushanta Chowdhury on Friday announced the Tripura government’s decision to fill up over 2,000 vacant posts in Education and Rural Development departments.
Among the posts are 1,099 posts for undergraduate teachers and 467 for graduate teachers in different schools across the state, the state Cabinet has decided.
Besides, the Cabinet has also approved to appoint 112 special educators at Vidyajyoti schools on a fixed-pay scale in the state.
For the Rural Development department, 198 junior engineers, including 105 degree-holders and 93 diploma-holders, would be appointed, said the minister. The Tripura Public Service Commission would conduct the recruitment process, Chowdhury added.
