New Update

On Thursday, February 17, 2022, Delhi University will reopen and resume offline instruction. Due of the Covid-19 pandemic, the university has been closed for about two years. On Thursday, it is expected to begin offline academic activities.

In the aftermath of the epidemic, the DU colleges were shuttered in March 2020. The campus reopening coincides with a decrease in the number of Covid cases in the nation's capital. Students protested earlier this month, demanding that the campus be reopened.

Meanwhile, the stakeholders remain divided on the issue, even as universities prepare to welcome back students for offline classes. Several students are now requesting that the university switch to a hybrid method of operation.

The following are the rules that students must follow:

- Students must have their immunisation certificate on them at all times and produce it at the entrance of DU Colleges or whenever the staff requests it.

- Before enrolling in the offline classes on campus, outstation students must undergo a three-day isolation period.

- Masks must be worn at all times, and social distance must be maintained.

- Officials ordered colleges to sanitise and ventilate their classrooms and campuses, as well as make all necessary arrangements for students returning to campus.

- In terms of hostel accommodations, students are recommended to be patient and work with the Institute.

- Overcrowding and large-group meetings should also be avoided.

- Thermal scanners, hand sanitizers, and soaps should all be readily available.

After the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) approved educational institutions for offline classes, Delhi University stated that it would reopen its campus.
