Ketan Inamdar, a BJP MLA from Savli, has written a letter to the state chief minister and education minister regarding corruption in the ongoing recruitment process of teachers and non-teaching staff at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. He demanded the appointment of an inquiry committee to probe the matter.
As many as 13 senate and syndicate members of the university gives in written about the matter on Tuesday to MLA Ketan Inamdar alleging irregularities in the ongoing recruitment process at the university.
Ketan Inamdar said, a written submission was made by a syndicate members and government-appointed senate members of Maharaja Sayajirao University about the recruitment being stopped by government a year and a half ago due to errors in recruitment of teachers and noting staff. But, as per the recent order of government, the recruitment process has been resumed from August. Interviews were conducted to fill 100 vacancies in different departments of the university. In which 27 vacancies have been filled.
He further said that information on the recruitment process was sought from the university authorities by the syndicate and senate members. But they didn't get anything and it seems something went wrong in the recruitment process. The Savli MLA written to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and State Education Minister Jitu Vaghani to appoint an inquiry committee to look into the ongoing recruitment process at Maharaja Sayajirao University and demanded strict action if any corruption found in the recruitment process.
