G20 Summit 2023 India: G20 Education Working Group in Chennai to focus on making tech-based learning inclusive

As India prepares for the G20 Summit 2023, the G20 Education working group will be meeting in Chennai on January 31, 2023 and February 1 and 2, 2023.

The aim behind the meet for the G20 Education Working Group is to discuss ways to make tech-based learning more inclusive in India.

G20 EdWG will also be working towards drawing focus on foundational literacy and numeracy in the context of blended learning, ensuring tech-based education is inclusive, qualitative and collaborative at all levels.

Amongst the key participants of the G20 Education Working Group is the Tamil Nadu Department of Education. 

The department will be taking part in the exhibition on 'Naan Mudalvan' and 'Nama Palli'. Saudi Arabia, UAE, France, China, the Netherlands and UNICEF are also among the key participants for this working group in the Sherpa Track.

As per an official press release, the meet in Chennai has been organised in order to “build resilient and inclusive education and skilling ecosystem and realise the creative potential of each learner.

The IIT Madras seminar would be divided into three panel discussions - Providing accessible and equitable education for K-12 learners, enabling high-quality learning opportunities at scale, and emerging technologies to provide skill education and training
