Baroda Medical College gets approval for one more postgraduate medical course from National Medical Council. Giving details Dr. Ranjan Krishna Aiyer, Medical Superintendent, Sayaji Hospital said, with this permission letter for one more postgraduate medical course, students will be able to do postgraduate studies in Radiation Oncology at the institute.

Expressing the feeling that this permission is a matter of pride for our department, the head of the Department of Radiation Oncology, Dr. Anil Goyal said that the state government has equipped their department with medical equipment worth about Rs 20 crore. Since February of this year the department has been treating a variety of cancers with these tools and these treatments are mostly painless.

The department has Adequate qualified medical staff to provide higher education to medical students admitted for Radiation Oncology. The National Medical Council has allowed two medical students to enroll in this course each year in view of this flexibility. They are happy that through it we will be able to help reduce the shortage of doctors specializing in radiation oncology, " Added Aiyer.
