Gives memorandum to the collector demand security for them
As part of the nation wide strike, Junior Doctors Association, Baroda Medical College and other centres protested against the attack on doctor in Kolkata and gave a memorandum to the collector. They demanded security for them and appealed for a tension free environment at workplace to treat the patients.
The doctors showed their solidarity towards the nation wide strike call on Friday against the brutal beating of a doctor in Kolkata by the relatives of a patient. The India Medical Association declared "All India Protest Day" on Friday against the incident.
In Vadodara around 200 and more doctors took out a rally and gave a memorandum to the collector demanding workplace security. They also protested against the way law enforcing agencies are treating the agitating doctors in Kolkata. They walked with the slogan 'Don't make us Bleed'.
"As part of all India strike, around 25 colleges of Gujarat are supporting the call and standing in solidarity towards the doctors in Kolkata. The incident of brutal beating of the doctor by relatives is heinous and we condemn it fully. We need better security for us at workplace and need stress free environment for us to treat the patients, " said Naved Khan National Chairman IMA Medical Students Network.
