We all have to work together to fight and not to create panic – Dr. Krutesh Shah
Vadodara is facing a challenging situation in view of the surge of corona cases. The administration as well as doctors are working day and night to treat patients as well as to control the present stage of pandemic.
As numbers are increasing the doctors are now working on to prioritise the patients who need more care in hospitals. As hospitals are facing scarcity of beds, infrastructure, medicines, laboratory and hospital staff, cleanliness workers, the main thing is to identify the patients who needs more priority.
“We are facing an unprecedented situation and the medical and hospital fraternity of Vadodara has responded with great energy to handle it. For us every positive patient is important but in this situation we have to give priority to those patients who need quick treatment. The others who are settled and not have any life threatening situation can be taken care of at home,” said Dr. Krutesh Shah President SETU -Association of Private Hospitals of Vadodara.
Dr. Krutesh further said that last year corona was increasing step by step and they had time to improve the facilities. However at present it shoot up instantly and they have no time to counter the situation. In such a scenario the doctors give priority to patients need emergency treatment. This is for the betterment of society and we all have to think in the larger inetest of the mankind.
As a SETU president he request everyone to work together in this difficult time, not blame anyone and try to get out from this situation. He said the time is to fight and ensure not to create panic in people which leads to unnecessary adverse situations. Everyone is overloaded and all have to stay together rather than inner conflict.
Dr. Krutesh Shah also issues a letter to his members in this regard and request everyone to follow the guidelines of VMC for admission of Covid patients those who truly need to be hospitalised.
