The organizers of the Vadodara Loudspeaker and Lighting Association raised slogans against the government for the order restraining playing of loudspeakers during the Uttarayan festival. They gathered at the Mahatma Gandhinagar Gruh and demand to allow them to do their business.
The government imposed lockdown in the country to stop translation of Corona pandemic. Due to which all trades and businesses were came to a standstill. Later the government allowed to unlock in phased manner with strict guidelines.
Instructions were given to conduct weddings and religious festivals as per Corona guidelines. This has caused serious financial problems to the DJ sound system and light operators during seasonal business.
The people involved in all these businesses are having difficulty in repaying the large loans taken by them. They are yet to be allowed by the government in view of Corona situation which makes their situation more challenging.
On Saturday the DJ Sound System and Light Operators staged a protest at Gandhinagar Gruh against the recent announcement by the Commissioner of Police to shut down the DJ system in Uttarayan festival following a government order and demanded that they be allowed to do business. Also they have submitted an application to police commissioner in this regard.
