    Gives him bangles in view of their demands of house and rent

    Displaced residents of Sanjaynagar slums in Vadodara continues their agitation and gives a bouquet and memorandum to ward 6 councillor, requesting to give them their houses. They also gives bangles to him in protest.

    Displaced residents of Sanjaynagar have been protesting for the last 15 days, demanding to provide houses and pay the remaining rent to them. They are representing many time with various programmes but the administration failed to resolve their issues.

     In continuation to their protest on Saturday the residents reached the house of Ward 6 councillor Ketan Brahmbhatt and approached him with their issues through Gandhigiri.

    Sanjaynagar Samiti president Seemaben Rathod said, the women of Sanjaynagar went to the house of Ward 6 BJP councillor Ketan Brahmbhatt and protest there in view of their demands. They gives him a bouquet and thanked for making them homeless. Other women also gives him bangles in protest.

    BJP councilor Ketan Brahmbhatt said, Sanjaynagar slum comes in his ward a the huts were removed as it was on storm water drain and government land. The huts were removed in order to provide them houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

     However, it is too late to give them a houses and also the rent is delayed. Efforts are underway to get them their houses quickly and provide them regular rent. They have also started getting the remaining rent now.
